VHS rebounds with 9-0 win over Johnson Co.

3/31/07 VHS rebounded from their previous day's loss and thrashed Johnson County of Tennessee by a score of 9-0. The Bearcats banged out ten hits with six coming in a six run fourth inning. Trey Roark had a two RBI triple and a single while Tyler Arnold knocked a pair of hits and scored twice, along with a couple of stolen bases. Hunter Greer added two hits as well. Pitcher Robbie Stout got the complete game shut-out on the hill only giving up four scattered base hits. Three of the four Johnson County runners that reached base were promptly picked off by Stout who only faced one batter over the minimum. No free passes were given by Stout or the Bearcat defensive corps. Virginia High will take a little breather after a three game stretch and will travel to John Battle on Thursday.
