Virginia High jumped on top with a three run first inning over host
Georgetown, SC and then followed up with six errors on defense in the
bottom half of the first and second innings. Georgetown claimed the lead
for good after scoring seven runs in the error prone two innings. What
appeared to be innings that should have been quick and scoreless became
long innings for starting pitcher Robbie Stout. VHS only managed four
hits of their own, two of which came in the three run first inning. The
six errors in the final Bearcat box score did not reflect the mental
errors VHS had in the field and on the base paths. Virginia High will
attempt to recover on Tuesday against Van of West Virginia.
