Virginia High stranded ten runners on base losing a 2-1 district contest
against Lebanon. The Bearcats were hitless over the first four innings
of play and left runners in scoring position in six out of seven
innings. Brent Davenport knocked a leadoff double in the sixth and Josh
Arnold smacked a single up the middle to score pinch runner Max
Katelouzos for the Bearcats' only run. Kalan Mabe took the loss allowing
two runs in the third inning. Only one run was earned . Virginia High is
now 2-1 in district play and will face Sullivan East at 11:00am on
Saturday at Devault Stadium to close out a five game week.
