Virginia High continued on a downward slide with a Clinch Mountain
District loss to John Battle. VHS pitchers combined for a total of six
hit batters and John Battle banged out twelve hits in the 10-0 five
inning affair. The Bearcat hitters could only come up with three base
hits of their own with a double by Brent Davenport, a single by Dylan
Sullins and a bunt single by Tyler Arnold. Virginia High now owns
a 5-9 win loss record overall and a 2-2 record in district play. The
Bearcats entertain visiting non-district foe Abingdon on Wednesday
night.
