Virginia High took a week off after rain postponed the Big Six
Tournament and appeared to take an extra night off letting Tennessee
High cruise by with a 13-3 win over the Bearcats. VHS committed seven
errors, five in an eight run second inning and were only able to manage
two hits of their own in the first four innings. Tennessee High
meanwhile banged out twelve hits off three Bearcat pitchers. The
Bearcats finally managed to put up three runs in the fifth with a two
out rally and five consecutive hits. VHS will open up Clinch Mountain
District play with a game at Lee on Friday night.
