Virginia High scored seven runs in the seventh inning to finish off
Powell Valley 13-4. Starting pitcher Jarred Tate issued a base on balls
followed by a double and a single to give up two runs in the second
inning to give Powell Valley the early lead. Tate gave up no other hits
in his five innings on the mound but issued a pair of bases on balls in
the fifth followed by an error to allow two unearned runs. Tate had nine
strikeouts. Dylan Sullins crushed a two run homerun and also had an RBI
single to provide the Bearcats with three RBI's. Seth Davis knocked a
double, a single and had two RBI's. Dakota Katelouzos and Josh Arnold
each had two hits and an RBI.
