Gate City forces the Bearcats into a one game playoff for the regular
season Clinch Mountain District title with a 15-0 whipping. The Blue
Devils banged out thirteen hits, eleven of those in the eleven run
fourth inning. The loss was the first district loss for the Virginia
High team and puts Gate City and VHS into a playoff situation to be
played at the Bearcats' DeVault Stadium on Monday night for the title.
VHS will host the game on their field but play as the visitors in the
contest. Dylan Sullins took the loss on the mound for the Bearcats. No
Bearcat hitters were able to chalk up more than one hit and the only
extra base hit went to Seth Davis with a double.
