Josh Paolucci held the Abingdon Falcons hitless through five innings
before giving up a couple of his in the sixth in a complete game 5-0
shutout win. Paolucci gave up four base on balls in the victory. At the
plate, the Bearcats were only able to muster four base hits with Jarred
Tate accounting for two for a two for three night with two RBI's. Seth
Davis and Brandon Nave had Virginia High's other two hits. VHS improved
to a 4-5 win-loss record in the non-district match-up. Virginia High
will take a day off before facing Clinch Mountain District foe Lebanon
on Friday in an away game.
